New
Headquarters

Although NFL teams spend the night before playing a game in a hotel, this page is here to showcase a possible plan for a new HQ and training facility location for the New York Jets if they wish to be closer to their new possible home.

Since 1968, the New York Jets had their headquarters and training facility at Hofstra University in Hempstead, NY. In 2008, the Jets moved to their current headquarters and training facility in Florham Park, NJ. NFL teams stay the night before a game in a hotel nearby so the need for a new HQ isn't important. However, if the New York Jets wish to be closer to their proposed new home, there is one place just 8.7 miles east of the proposed stadium.

Proposed new Headquarters and practice facility site

Unused Land Farmingdale Map.png

In East Farmingdale, NY, there is an unused 19.56 acre plot of land that happens to be across the street from Republic Airport. It has just enough space to fill the current Jets HQ with the practice fields minus the outdoor artificial field, training area, enough parking for the members of the Jets organization, and shuttle parking to drop off fans parked elsewhere similar to how it is done in Florham Park, NJ. With Republic Airport across Broadhollow Road, Woody Johnson has the perfect place to land his helicopter or private jet. The area is also suitable for the New York Jets for their new headquarters for not only they would play in a football stadium built on an old Army airfield with a museum nearby (Cradle of Aviation Museum), but they would train and practice next to an airport with a museum as well (American Airpower Museum.) Also with Farmingdale's history with being a locus for the aircraft industry (namely Republic Aviation Company), Farmingdale's colors being Green and White, and the seal of Farmingdale being not only Green and White but also having a jet plane in it, the New York Jets would feel right at home.
